Miley Cyrus attended the Country Music Awards last night, and stopped on the red carpet to give reporters her smile and show her long hair.

“My daddy said that I should wear it up and put it in a ‘Get your hair as high and close to Jesus as possible’ type hairdo,” said the Hannah Montana star. “I said, ‘Daddy, I don’t think I can get it any higher, but I did my best.’”

Miley Cyrus walked the red carpet alone Wednesday night ,so where was boyfriend Justin Gaston?

“I’m flying solo tonight,” told at the Nashville ceremony. “Justin is making an appearance in Taylor Swift’s song. But that’s okay, because it means my two best friends are on stage at the same time!”

After sitting in on rehearsals with her boyfriend and best friend, Miley said, “I can’t wait to see that!”

And no wonder. Swift’s performance of her hit “Love Story” was one of the night’s big highlights, complete with elaborate set, waltzing dancers and Gaston, in the role of a Disney-esque Prince Charming, which he also portrays in her video.

But the 20-year-old never forgot his real leading lady.

“I saw Miley briefly,” Gaston told before his big number. “She really looks pretty.”

Miley Cyrus’s dad, Billy Ray, also attended the awards show – and, as usual, he had nothing but kind words for his daughter’s much-older boyfriend.

“Can you believe how far this kid has come?” Billy Ray asked . “Just a few months ago when I first saw him perform on Nashville Star, I said he was going to be a big star. He’s got it all – talent, looks, personality. And look at him! Look where he is now!”

She spent all over Nashville for the 42nd Annual CMA Awards, but this morning Miley Cyrus was in the Big Apple doing yet more promotion.

The “Hannah Montana” babe was spotted arriving at an office building for a radio interview following her appearance on “Live with Regis and Kelly.”

And Miss Cyrus looked cute and casual in a black track jacket overtop a white shirt with a pair of slim-fit jeans and knee-high black leather boots.

During her interview on “Good Morning America” yesterday,Miley Cyrus refused to talk about her current boyfriend Justin Gaston. She stated, “Um, I’m going to keep that one zip-tight, locked and throw away the key.”

The teen sensation dazzled in an eye-catching, sparkly ensemble — while Gaston glammed things up with a traditional suit.

The 56th Annual BMI Awards were presented Tuesday in Nashville, where country music star Taylor Swift took home the nod for country song of the year for “Teardrops on my Guitar.” BMI (Broadcast Music Inc.) is a performing rights organization.

Fergie turns out to be as big a Miley Cyrus fan as anybody – as the Black Eyed Peas singer demonstrated at Sunday’s 10th annual Teen Choice Awards.

During the Hannah Montana star’s opening number – Cyrus hosted the show, at Universal City’s Gibson Amphitheatre – she performed her single “7 Things,” running in every direction but stopping to deliver a rose to audience member Fergie.

And Fergie’s reaction? Just like any other Hannah Montana fan’s. She started jumping up and down.

Cyrus had three reasons of her own to jump for joy, too – nabbing the prizes – which are surfboard trophies – for choice TV comedy, comic actress and female artist.

Top winner in the TV division was Gossip Girl, whose six awards included those for choice drama and breakout show – while its star, Chace Crawford was named choice breakout actor; Blake Lively, breakout female and TV drama actress; and Ed Westwick, who plays the antagonistic Chuck Bass, choice TV villain.

“I feel like I’m still a teenager, because I’m perpetually in high school,” Crawford told reporters backstage. “And I’m 23.”
